Sanchez Residence: Kitchen Renovation
This kitchen renovation at the Sanchez Residence in Iloilo City was conceived as a study in proportion, surface continuity, and controlled material expression.

Developed as a collaborative project between Architect Ken and Architect Kean, the design prioritizes spatial clarity and architectural restraint, allowing the kitchen to read as a cohesive built element rather than a collection of fittings.
Sanchez Residence: Kitchen Renovation
Back to PortfolioThe palette is intentionally muted, emphasizing plane, edge, and alignment to achieve a calm and resolved interior composition.
The layout was carefully calibrated to support efficient workflow while maintaining visual order. A U-shaped configuration defines the primary work zone, with a monolithic island extending outward to mediate between preparation space and informal seating. Quartz surfaces were detailed with crisp edges and consistent thickness, reinforcing the kitchen’s clean geometry. Full-height stone-look wall cladding provides a continuous backdrop, minimizing visual breaks and strengthening the sense of enclosure and depth within the space.
Cabinetry was designed with flat-panel fronts and precise joint alignment, ensuring that storage elements remain visually recessive within the overall architecture. Integrated lighting is concealed within reveals and undersides, producing an even wash across work surfaces without introducing visual clutter.
Hardware and fittings were selected for minimal projection and tactile clarity, supporting both functional performance and architectural discipline. The completed kitchen reflects KAHA Modular Construction Corporation’s design approach—where collaboration, detailing, and proportion come together to produce interiors defined by quiet confidence and long-term relevance.
