Located in Iloilo Province, this renovation prioritizes intuitive workflow, generous counter surfaces, and visual continuity with the surrounding interiors.

This full kitchen renovation at the Juantong Residence in Iloilo was shaped by a simple but defining idea: a kitchen designed not just for cooking, but for connection. Envisioned as the social heart of the home, the space was reimagined by KAHA Modular Construction Corporation to support both daily routines and moments of gathering, balancing warmth, clarity, and modern restraint.

The client’s vision called for a kitchen that feels open and inviting—one that could transition seamlessly from everyday use to entertaining. In response, KAHA developed a layout that prioritizes intuitive workflow, generous counter surfaces, and visual continuity with the surrounding interiors. Custom-built solutions, thoughtful material selection, and disciplined detailing were employed to ensure the kitchen feels cohesive and purposeful rather than purely utilitarian.

At the center of the space, a custom kitchen island anchors both movement and interaction. Designed to function as a primary work surface and a social focal point, the island is wrapped in vertical wood slat detailing that introduces warmth and texture, subtly softening the kitchen’s clean architectural lines. A quartz countertop was selected for its durability and refined finish, providing ample surface area while maintaining a bright, uncluttered appearance.

Surrounding cabinetry was designed in light wood tones with clean, minimalist profiles to maximize storage without visual weight. Integrated handles and precisely aligned joinery reinforce the kitchen’s streamlined character, while the layout supports efficient movement between preparation, cooking, and washing zones—ensuring the space performs with ease and clarity.

Lighting was carefully layered to shape both function and atmosphere. A linear pendant above the island establishes a gentle focal point, complemented by recessed and under-cabinet lighting that provides practical illumination across work areas. Together, these elements create a kitchen that feels lively and open during the day, and warm and inviting in the evening.

The completed kitchen is a well-balanced environment—modern yet welcoming, refined yet highly functional. It reflects KAHA’s ability to translate client vision into spaces that support everyday living while quietly elevating the character of the home through thoughtful design and precise execution.
